Green Party candidate for Governor, Howie Hawkins will be part of a fundraiser in Ithaca Sunday.

Hawkins previously ran for governor in 2010, finishing third out of seven candidates.

The fundraiser is open to the public and will be held in Thompson Park Sunday at 2 p.m.

Hawkins has campaigned on a platform supporting lower property taxes and a ban on hydrofracking.

Hawkins was a guest earlier this week on the Morning Newswatch with Lee Rayburn and Greg Fry.
