Actress Jennifer Lawrence’s representative has threatened to prosecute whoever is behind a new celebrity phone hacking scandal after naked photos of The Hunger Games star appeared online on Sunday.

Risque pictures of the Oscar winner, along with other female celebrities such as Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst, surfaced on the Internet, and Lawrence’s spokeswoman is waging war on the person responsible for leaking the personal photos, which she confirms are real.

A statement from her rep to Us Weekly reads: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Revealing photos of actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead also appeared online, and she took to Twitter.com herself to address the leak, writing, “To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great ’bout yourselves.”

She continued, “Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.”

Meanwhile, former Victorious co-stars Grande and Justice have denied the leaked images of them are for real.

Grande’s rep tells JustJared.com that the photos are “completely fake”, while Justice took to Twitter and wrote, “These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*”.

The haul of celebrity photos originated on 4Chan.org after a hacker found them on numerous iCloud accounts. Site bosses also claim to have nude images of newlyweds Gabrielle Union and Jenny McCarthy, mum-to-be Hayden Panettiere, Hilary Duff, Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Lea Michele and Selena Gomez, among others.
