There are over 3300 residents in Cayuga County who have Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia related symptoms. A Walk to Remember aims to make a difference in the lives of those with dementia and their caregivers.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, the Cayuga County Office for the Aging will sponsor its fourth annual Walk to Remember and 5K Run. The 5K will be offered for the first time this year. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Emerson Park on Owasco Lake. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. The event will offer a walking or 5K run course, refreshments, raffles and music. The entry fee is $20 per person.
This event will benefit Cayuga County Office for the Aging programs.
