We Have A Total From the Backpack!

Chris here…

Walkin’ The Country 2 was a pretty wild week.  The memories, the old and new friends, the swell of the feet….ok, strike that last one.

I want to Thank everyone who had a hand in helping me complete my hundred mile trek across the County.  There will be stories and moments we’ll share in the coming days, but there are memories I will hold forever and kindesses I can never repay.

After 5 days of walking, our unofficial tally, based upon cash that went into the backpack and the coin boxes plus the online donations is:

$27,640.16!!!!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for going on my walk with me and, be assured, together we are making a difference for a LOT of children..

Our friend John Hickey from WENY HD in Elmira filed a really nice story.  Thanks John!

Dan Veaner from “The Lansing Star” filed a terrific report too.  Read It

You can still make a secure, online donation for Walking The Country .

Thank You
