Little Jimmy Dickens Passes


After being hospitalized since Christmas Day, 94 Year-Old Jimmy Dickens passed away

Word is he died on Friday afternoon of cardiac arrest after suffering a stroke on Christmas Day.

Dickens became a Grand Ole Opry member in 1948 and was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1983. He last performed at the Opry the day after his 94th Birthday on December 20th.

Brad Paisley on Twitter: “As the sun sets on this planet tonight, for the first time in 94 years it is without my hero, Little Jimmy Dickens”.

Reba: “Rest in peace Little Jimmy. Thanks for all the smiles, great music and your big loving heart.”

Arrangements are pending but they will include some sort of public farewell.
