Best of the Best Final Event Rules


On May 8, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM the 20 qualifiers from our “Best of the Best Contest” will gather at Stella’s Barn (1346 Elmira Rd. Newfield NY)  for the “Best of the Best Grand Prize Event”.

 

The Grand Prize, which one qualified entry will win, consists of:

  • 7-nights all inclusive accommodations for two at Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
  • roundtrip motor coach transportation from Ithaca NY to the Philadelphia International Airport for the flight to Punta Cana International Airport.
  • Roundtrip coach airfare departing from PHL (Philadelphia International Airport) to Punta Cana International Airport. Seats will be at the discretion of WQNY. The winner must have a valid passport for travel to international destinations.
  • Roundtrip airport/resort transfers from Punta Cana International Airport to the Resort and from the Resort back to Punta Cana International Airport for departure.
  • Approximate retail value is $3,198.

 

Our 20 qualifiers, will gather at Stella’s barn (1346 Elmira Rd. Newfield NY 14867) Ten from the on-air survey and ten from the online survey questions. To win the grand prize, the 20 finalists will gather at Stella’s Barn (1346 Elmira Rd. Newfield NY 14867) on May 8, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM for the grand prize event. Finalists must be present to win and register at the event. The grand prize winner will be decided through a process of elimination event which will take place at the grand prize event.

Grand Prize Event Process

  • Will be through a process of elimination
  • Will contain three rounds where questions are asked to our qualifiers
  • At the end of the three rounds our remaining qualifiers will be given a bandana.
  • One of the bandanas will contain the winning item to decide the contest winner.

One of our 20 qualifiers will be chosen as the Grand prize winner at the event. The prize, as noted above,  will be the trip to the Dominican Republic October 13th through the 20th

WQNY’s Best of the Best Grand Prize Event is open to all eligible qualifiers 21 or older have not won anything on WQNY in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WQNY, Cayuga Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WQNY main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. WQNY sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WQNY shall have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Incidentals include but are not limited to unpaid room service charges, phone/long distance charges, pay per view movies, etc. These and all other related or similar fees and incidentals will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
