We released the sad news:  Q Trip 2020 to Costa Rica is postponed.  I’m attaching the letter that explains all the details.

We’ll get there!  Just….not yet….

Hello Q-Sta Rica 2020 Travelers!

2020 has definitely proven to be quite the year so far and we are only half way through it.  Whew!  What a doozie!  I hope you are all staying healthy and enjoying this summer weather we are having.

Q-Sta Rica 2020 plans have been full steam ahead for our 22nd Q Country/AAA trip.  Much of the planning has looked a little different this year.  Along with outlining details for our legendary parties and exclusive excursions, I have also been in constant contact with the resort and transportation company in Costa Rica, the leadership team at AAA, and Chris Allinger at Q country regarding health and safety measures that will be in place for your protection during our trip.  As with all Q Trips, your health, safety, and well-being is always my main concern, along with making sure you have tons of fun!

Over the last couple of weeks there has been much uncertainty concerning the Covid-19 virus.  Cases are rising around the US, other countries are keeping their borders closed longer than expected, our state is restricting visitors from other states, local employers are mandating a quarantine period when returning from travel, and passport offices are working with a severely reduced staff which is delaying the processing of new and renewal passports.

Your health, safety, and financial security are my number one priorities, and with that in mind, along with the leadership at AAA and Chris Allinger at Q Country, it is with a very heavy heart that I write to announce our decision to postpone the Q-Sta Rica trip to 2021.

Chris and I are excited to continue planning the Q-Sta Rica trip.  Postponing to 2021 just means more time to plan our parties, events and excursions 😊.

We will move your deposits from the 2020 trip to the 2021 trip unless we hear from you that you would prefer to cancel and receive a refund.  If you purchased travel insurance (through AAA), the dates on the policy can be modified to protect the 2021 trip.  Please note:  2021 trip dates, pricing, and details may be different than 2020.  As soon as we have all details confirmed we will communicate them.  Those who choose to postpone versus cancelling will receive first notice of new details.

If you are scheduled to travel on an alternate flight or class of service from our group flights and have already purchased your air through AAA, I will be in touch shortly regarding the refund and/or change policies on your ticket.  If you purchased alternate flights not through AAA, please contact the airline directly for terms and conditions.  If you have cancelled your trip prior to this notice and incurred any penalties, I will be in touch regarding refunds of the penalties.

We are very disappointed that we need to postpone this year’s trip; however, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone.

From our official Q Trip 2020 (now 2021) song by Luke Bryan:

One margarita, two margarita, three margarita, shot
Don’t worry ’bout tomorrow
Leave all your sorrow out here on the floatin’ dock
When that sun lays down, we’ll be on our way
One more barefoot round, one more last chance to say
“Hey Señorita, don’t you think we need
A salt and a Chesney song?”
One margarita, two margarita, three margarita
We’ll be gone

We look forward to Q Trip 2021 with YOU!

Melissa, Stacia & Chris
