BOVIO SENTENCED

Wednesday in Seneca County Court Alison Bovio pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter related to the death of her 3-year old son May 12th.

Bovio agreed to plead guilty to the charge in exchange for a maximum state prison sentence of 4 to 12 years. She also agreed to cooperate with law enforcement and testify against her husband Donald Bovio. At the plea proceeding Alison was indicted as an accomplice and admitted seeing Donald cause blunt force trauma to the child’s head. Evidence also showed she was a victim of domestic violence. Donald Bovio’s next court date’s October 18th.
