Broome County officials warn of fentanyl, xylazine

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WHCU) — Health officials in Broome County are reacting to overdoses.

WBNG reports about 50 suspected non-fatal ODs have happened in August. The Broome Overdose Action Collaborative encourages people to not use drugs alone, and to have fentanyl test strips. Officials add xylazine may also be in the drug supply. 

In related news, an Auburn physician is now barred from prescribing medications.
