PREBLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – A two-vehicle crash in Cortland County is under investigation.

Deputies were dispatched to a reported crash in the Town of Preble just after 10 a.m. on Friday. Authorities say a car and a farm tractor were traveling in the same direction on Route 11 when the car tried to pass the tractor while it was making a left turn. The car rolled over onto its roof as a result of the collision. The accident forced the closure of Route 11 between Currie Road and Truxton Tully Road for three hours.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to University Hospital in Syracuse with what authorities called “unknown injuries.” The operator of the tractor was uninjured. No names have been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
