Cayuga Heights leaders discuss lawn, garden rules

CAYUGA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Tompkins County village is making progress on a potential property maintenance law.

Leaders in Cayuga Heights are looking to set rules on lawns and gardens. Trustee Peter Salton says he wants boats and campers to be allowed in front yards. He adds the proposed law is a few months away from completion.

The village is considering holding several public hearings to get feedback.
