ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An Ithaca restaurant has abruptly closed to address staffing issues.

In a notice on their website Friday, management at Coltivare expressed regret at not being able to stay open for Cornell graduation.

Despite the very best efforts of our team, due to extraordinary staffing issues we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the restaurant effective today, Friday, May 26th, until the beginning of July to allow time to retool so that we can meet our own high standards of service and quality the community has grown to expect.

The eatery says the closing is temporary and will not impact their ability to fulfill existing or new events. Coltivare aims to reopen in July.
