ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Part of a road in the Town of Ithaca is set to close next week.
West King Road will be blocked off to all traffic in the 300-block beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday for a crossing pipe replacement project. It’s scheduled to reopen at the end of the day on Friday.
Street sweeping in the City of Ithaca will also begin on Monday.
Elsewhere in the region, repairs will slow traffic next week in Waverly.
DPW crews will be doing water main work on West Pine Street, Orange Street, and Clinton Avenue starting on Monday. Lane reductions and temporary road closures are expected at various times on all three roads.
Village officials say there isn’t a scheduled timeline for completion, only that the traffic impacts will last until the projects are finished. However, Waverly Police says Orange Street will be closed from Chemung Street to Blizzard Street until the end of the day on Friday.
