ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cornell University’s announced it’s shifting it’s MBA program to an online format temporarily because of an increase in Covid-19 cases.

University President Martha Pollack cited a significant increase in student infections – the majority of which are among MBA graduate students – as the decision to move to an all-virtual format for at least a week.

In a statement, Pollack says an analysis by the university’s Covid response officials are attributing the cases to a couple of St. Patrick’s Day gatherings where large numbers of MBA students didn’t adhere to masking and social-distancing measures required by the school’s Behavioral Compact.
