BATH, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Corning man has been sentenced to 25 years to life for murder.
WENY-TV reports 28-year-old Brett Heffner was given the maximum sentence for second degree murder Tuesday after pleading guilty earlier this year.
In March, the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office said the guilty plea was the best outcome for the victim’s family. Heffner killed his 26-year-old neighbor, Keli Collins, on August 5, 2022.
