Cortland announces temporary closure of Wickwire Pool

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Wickwire Pool in Cortland is closed until further notice. 

A small electrical fire happened in the pump house over the weekend that requires repairs. The Cortland Youth Bureau says they’re not sure how long it will take to reopen yet.

The rest of Suggett Park, including the splash pad, are unaffected by the fire. Wickwire Pool opened for the season this past Saturday.
