CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cortland city officials are putting the final touches on the 2024 budget draft.
Department heads have submitted their budgets, which are now under review. Mayor Scott Steve has to present a draft to the Common Council by October 15.
Mayor Steve’s draft will be discussed at the October 17 Common Council meeting. Departments will present their budgets over two days — October 19 and October 24 — then final changes will be made on the 26th.
Cortland’s fiscal year starts on January 1.
