Cortland County sees spike in alcohol offenses

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Alcohol offenses are up sharply in Cortland County.

In August, dispatchers received 16 calls about booze-infused situations. Compared to July, that’s a spike of 1500 percent. It’s also the highest number of alcohol offenses since April.

Late last month, thousands of students returned to SUNY Cortland.
