Cortland Police charge suspect with arson after motel fire

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — One man faces felonies after allegedly starting a fire in Cortland.

Crews responded to the Imperial Motel around 6 AM on Friday. Authorities say a small fire was extinguished in an occupied room. No one was injured.

45-year-old Shoun Pinder was charged with arson and reckless endangerment.
