CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — After efforts failed in December to sell the former Virgil Elementary School building, officials want to try again.
The Cortland Standard reports a majority of Cortland’s school board are in favor of adding proposals to the school budget vote this spring. A vote to sell the building was defeated last month, 228 to 269.
During a school board meeting Tuesday, four of the seven members agreed to allow Superintendent Bob Edwards to continue working on getting the building sold.
School budget votes are on May 17th.
