DEC grant would fund Six Mile Creek assessment study in Tompkins County

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Leaders in Tompkins County are submitting grant applications ahead of summer deadlines.

One grant the Department of Planning and Sustainability is seeking would fund a study on Six Mile Creek related to water quality and flood mitigation. Planning and Sustainability Commissioner Katie Borgella says the grant comes from the NYS DEC.

The study would allow for eligibility for future implementation funds from the DEC.
