ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A traffic stop in Ithaca has resulted in the arrest of two people.

Sheriff Derek Osborne says deputies pulled over a vehicle Tuesday morning after seeing an outdated inspection sticker. Deputies recognized the passenger, 37-year-old Kimberly Makinster, because of an active warrant for her arrest on a weapons charge. A search of the SUV revealed suspected cocaine and ammunition.

The driver, 44-year-old Damien Blackman, also faces a criminal charge.
