‘Extremely low’ risk of lead exposure at Ithaca Gun site, Klepack says

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The site of the former Ithaca Gun Company has improved. 

Doctor William Klepack is Tompkins County’s medical director, and he says lead levels are safe. 

Klepack adds any risk to visitors is ‘extremely low.’ 

The development firm Visum is currently reviewing the Ithaca Gun smokestack to help determine its future.
