ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Plans are moving forward to fix a bridge in Ithaca.
The Ithaca Voice reports federal money is going toward rehabbing the Stewart Avenue Bridge over Fall Creek. A reported six-million-dollars will salvage the bridge from becoming unusable.
City officials say the bridge is no longer compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Public Right-Of-Way Accessibility Guidelines.
Repairs would be made between the spring and fall of 2025.
