Former Johnson City principal pleads guilty to luring a child

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WHCU) – A former Johnson City School District official will spend six months in jail.

Fox 40 reports Daniel Erickson pled guilty to the charge of luring a child on Tuesday. Erickson was arrested in July last year after it was discovered he was talking with a high school student on Snapchat and tried to meet with her multiple times. The last time he attempted to meet with the girl, he was met by police.

Erickson will additionally be subject to five years of post-release supervision and will have to register as a sex offender. He was principal at Johnson City High School for 20 years.
