SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) – Even more people will be allowed at the New York State Fair this summer.

Governor Cuomo announced Monday the fair will now open this summer at 100% percent capacity. This changes earlier guidelines made in April keeping capacity at 50%. Cuomo says the statewide positivity rate changing to .40 percent has allowed him to update the guidance.

“When the facts change, then change your strategy”, said Governor Cuomo during Monday’s announcement at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. Capacity limits will still be limited inside indoor spaces to follow CDC guidance.
