Ithaca man charged in ’22 killing

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office has announced an indictment in a December 2022 killing.

Bruce Mead, of Ithaca, has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of his brother, 37-year-old Zacharias Moore. The crime allegedly happened at the Cayuga Gardens Apartments in Ithaca on December 19 last year. Mead is currently in prison for an unrelated weapons charge.

If found guilty, Mead faces 25 years to life for the second-degree murder charge.
