Ithaca man convicted in fatal stabbing on Six Mile Creek

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An Ithaca man has been convicted of second-degree murder.

Jeremiah Jordan faces at least 25 years to life in prison. Prosecutors say that on October 28, 2022, the 40-year-old fatally stabbed 38-year-old Michael Monroe on the Six Mile Creek walk.

Jordan was also convicted Wednesday of tampering with physical evidence, a felony which carries a maximum sentence of four years behind bars.

He’ll be sentenced on August 25.
