Ithaca snowfall about half of average winter, NWS says

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — We are three weeks away from the first day of spring. 

The National Weather Service reports snow totals in Ithaca are well below average this winter. We’ve seen about 25 inches of snow so far — about half of what we’d normally see. The lowest snowfall on record is the winter of 1918 to 1919, where Ithaca saw slightly under 16 inches.

Ithaca’s average snowfall amount is 47 inches.
