ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — By the end of May, the Tops in Ithaca will close.

A company spokesperson sent the following statement to WHCU:

Tops has decided not to renew its lease on its property located at 710 South Meadow St., Ithaca, NY. This location will close on May 31, 2022.  The decision was not made lightly and is in no way a reflection of the performance or dedication of our associates at this location.  There are no additional plans for store closures.  All of the impacted associates will be offered positions in other areas of the company.  The community will continue to be served by the Tops store located within close proximity of the planned closure in Lansing, NY.
