Joly returns to IPD as deputy chief

ITHACA, NY (WHCU) — The Ithaca Police Department has a familiar face back in a new role.

Ithaca Police Chief Tom Kelly tells WHCU John Joly recently returned as deputy chief.

Between April 2021 to April 2023, Joly served as Ithaca’s police chief before resigning.
