ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Tompkins County medical director is urging people to get bivalent vaccines against COVID-19.

Doctor William Klepack says the shots have several benefits.

He says seniors can get the shot twice.

“If you’re over 65, and it’s been four months since you’ve got your bivalent vaccine, you may get another one,” Klepack says.

He adds unvaccinated people are “running a risk.”
