Missing Corning woman found dead

HORNBY, N.Y. (WHCU) – A woman who was reported missing to the City of Corning Police Department has been found dead.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard says the Corning woman’s body was located on Tuesday morning about 10 miles away in the Town of Hornby. Deputies collected evidence from the scene and an autopsy has been ordered.

No details about the woman have been released yet. The investigation is ongoing.
