SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — Days after two Central New York officers were shot and killed, an online fundraiser has been set up.

Organizers created the page Monday on Fund the First dot com with a goal of 500 thousand dollars. They’re already more than halfway to that goal, which is going to the families of Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Investigator Michael Hoosock.

On Sunday, police say Jensen and Hoosock were shot during a shootout with 33-year-old Christopher Murphy, who was killed. The two officers were rushed to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
