ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Company officials say Tompkins County’s second legal marijuana dispensary will open later this year.

The non-profit group Challenge Workforce Solutions, which works to create a path to employment for people with disabilities and other barriers, was one of the original 36 applicants granted a conditional adult-use retail dispensary license last year.  They’ve announced that Aspire Cannabis will be the name of the locally sourced shop opening in Ithaca. The shop will partner with other local businesses like Florist Farms and Ithaca Organics and will reportedly offer online ordering with pickup.

Some profits from Aspire will go directly to support Challenge Workforce Solutions.  According to the company’s website, the shop will be located at 205 North Fulton Street.
