ONTARIO COUNTY, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ontario County Police Benevolent Association has given a vote of ‘no confidence’ to Sheriff Kevin Henderson.

Members of the county’s largest police union say they have concerns about Henderson’s leadership of the department. Their statement says 17 sheriff’s deputies have left since 2019, when Henderson became sheriff of Ontario County. He’s also accused of creating a toxic work environment.

Henderson has rejected calls for his resignation.
