Portion of Route 89 shutdown in Ulysses after car crashes into tree

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Tompkins County Dispatch reports a one car crash has shutdown a portion of Route 89 in the Town of Ulysses.

Dispatch says the call came in just after 3:30 this afternoon, reporting a car hitting a tree. The closure is affecting Route 89 between Perry City Road and the north end of Maplewood Road. It’s unknown at this time if anyone in the vehicle suffered injury.

Trumansburg Fire and Ambulance crews responded, assisted by the Ithaca Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office.
