Report: Driver in deadly Newfield crash now in stable condition

NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — A student at Mansfield University, who drove a car involved in a fatal crash in Newfield, is now listed in stable condition.

WENY-TV reports 18-year-old Dale Beeman remains hospitalized for injuries from Tuesday’s crash, in which his 17-year-old passenger Peyton Shaw was killed. Shaw was a senior at Waverly High School.

An online fundraiser set up for Shaw’s family has raised nearly 32 thousand dollars.
