CORTLAND, NY (WHCU) — Sentencing for a Cortland man convicted of attempted murder is delayed.

Lawyers for Tyshawn Pittman asked a Cortland County judge on Thursday for an adjournment so documents can be reviewed. Pittman was found guilty in March of the December 2022 shooting of a woman.

He was originally scheduled to be sentenced in May. The new sentencing date is June 27.
