Southport man facing multiple felonies for illegal weapons

SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Chemung County man is facing nine felonies for illegal gun possession.

New York State Police assisted the Elmira Police Department in executing a search warrant at the home of 24-year-old Chase Hartke, of Southport, on Friday. Hartke was arrested after authorities allegedly found several unlawful rifles, high-capacity magazines, and 3D-printed ghost gun parts. He is charged with nine counts of felony criminal possession of a weapon.

Hartke was taken to Chemung County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. He will appear in court at a later date.
