ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The last two remaining Starbucks stores in Ithaca will be closing.

The Ithaca Voice reports both closures come after all three stores voted last year to unionize. A third, located in Collegetown, shut down in 2022. A Starbucks spokesperson denies the decision to close stores on East Seneca Street and South Meadow Street is retaliation.

The union representing Starbucks employees has filed charges of unfair labor practices. The two stores will close by May 26.
