Three charged in connection with October ’23 death in Cortland

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – Three men have been charged in connection with a family member’s death in Cortland.

David Storie, 60, has been indicted by a Cortland County Grand Jury on charges of manslaughter and endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

On October 19, 2023, 33-year-old Brandon Storie was found dead in his bedroom in the City of Cortland, and it was investigated as a suspicious death. An autopsy was performed, and the cause of death was ruled a homicide.

Michael Storie, 40, and 31-year-old Nicholas Storie have additionally been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

According to Cortland Police, all three are currently awaiting arraignment.
