CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – Two credit/debit payment card skimming devices have been found in Cortland County.

According to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, the devices were located on Tuesday at payment terminals in Gregg’s Supermarket in Marathon and Save-a-Lot in Cortlandville. The image below is one of the actual devices recovered in the investigation.

Authorities say if you’ve checked out at either location over the last week you should monitor your credit cards and bank accounts for fraudulent charges. Report anything you suspect could be fraud to your bank immediately.
