Virgil man facing rape, sex abuse charges

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — A 20-year-old Virgil man is accused of the repeated rape of an underage girl multiple times in three different towns.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says Elijah Teeter had unwanted sexual contact with the victim over several years. Authorities say Teeter became aware of multiple warrants for his arrest and turned himself in Wednesday.

Teeter is charged with two counts of rape, two counts of sex abuse, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
