ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — New details have emerged in the abduction of an Ithaca woman.

Virginia State Police say two guns were recovered at the scene last Wednesday following a shootout involving troopers and Michael Davis, who’s accused of abducting Tatiana David from West Hill Circle earlier that day. Initially Virginia investigators said only one gun was found.

The 34-year-old single mother died shortly after the gunfire ended. Davis, who’s also 34, remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Tatiana David’s brother recently spoke out about the shooting, saying the legal system failed his sister.
