ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Wegmans has issued a statement on concerns about supply chain issues and limited supplies in stores.

A spokesperson tells WHCU raw material and labor shortages are causing transportation delays industry-wide. That’s leading to a shortage of products and some empty shelves. Wegmans is working with other brand suppliers to make sure options are available for customers.

A Tops spokesperson echoed the statement, telling us they have multiple choices available so customers can find what they’re looking for.

The Consumer Brands Association reported recently that stores across America say  at any given time, five to 10 percent of their items are out of stock.
