5 Ithaca schools noted for ‘overall academic achievement’

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A few schools in Ithaca are getting high marks. 

Dr. Luvelle Brown, superintendent of the Ithaca City School District, tells 607 News Now the New York Education Department said in their 2025 to 2026 accountability designations, five Ithaca schools rank in the top 25 percent of schools statewide for overall academic achievement.

Caroline Elementary, Cayuga Heights Elementary, Northeast Elementary, DeWitt Middle School, and Ithaca High School achieved the high ranking.

In addition, Enfield Elementary School and DeWitt Middle School are no longer under support status, according to the district.
