Alleged thefts lead to arrests in Caroline

CAROLINE, NY (607NewsNow) — Authorities are investigating several burglaries in Caroline.

In recent days, New York State Police said property was stolen from recreational vehicles, a hunting camp, and the yard of a home. The burglaries allegedly took place on different roads within the town.

According to police, the latest theft happened on June 16 on Smith Road. That day, 42-year-old Jeffrey Cornell, of Brooktondale, was arrested.

Cornell is charged with grand larceny, four counts of burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal possession of stolen property. 30-year-old Autumn Zupancic, of Newark Valley, was also charged with two misdemeanors after she was allegedly spotted in a vehicle with Cornell on June 14.
