Authorities identify victims in fatal Endwell motel fire

BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) — New York State Police are releasing more information about a deadly motel fire in Broome County.

On June 22, six people died in a blaze at the Knights Inn in Endwell. During a press conference, State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Captain Lucas Anthony shared the identities of the victims, which are listed below.

Dominique A. Cruz-Champion, 27
Zachariah Cruz-Molyneaux, 10 months
Romyn J. Cruz-Molyneaux, 2
Ella N. Cruz-Molyneaux, 3

Roughly 14 hours after the fire, authorities charged 24-year-old Tyler Russell, of Endwell, with six counts of manslaughter and one count of arson. Police said Russell had been staying on the first floor of the motel.
