Award-winning manager leaves Binghamton Rumble Ponies

BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) — The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will have a new leader next season.

Manager Reid Brignac is becoming a coach for the Durham Bulls. Durham is the Triple-A affiliate for the Tampa Bay Rays.

This past season, Brignac led Binghamton to an Eastern League championship. He was named the 2025 Eastern League Manager of the Year.

“I’m so proud of what we accomplished in my time with the [Rumble Ponies],” Brignac posted on X.

Prior to coaching, Brignac played over 350 games in the major leagues. He was drafted by Tampa Bay in 2004.
